The year 1964 can be regarded as the birth year of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Ternopil Branch of Lviv State Polytechnic Institute.
The Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages teaches Ukrainian, English, German, French and Polish, as well as Ukrainian as a foreign language.
