Methods of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, eidetics, linguo-cultural studies, theory and practice of communication, theory of literature.
Professional activity
Teaches Ukrainian for Professional Purposes, Ukrainian as a Foreign Language and Business Communication in Ukrainian. Organiser and chair of language and literature competitions, information quests, interactive seminars and olympiads. TNTU annually hosts:
- the 2nd stage of the Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for pupils and students;
- the 2nd stage of the Petro Yatsyk International Ukrainian Language Competition;
- the “All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity” (organisers I.P. Ravliv, L.T. Nazarevych);
- the cultural and educational project “The Shakespeare We Don’t Know” within the “Shakespeare Days in Ukraine 2019” initiated by the Ukrainian Inter-University Shakespeare Centre of ZNU;
- scientific and practical interactive seminars on “Translation as a Form of Intercultural Interaction” and others.
Author of a number of methodological guides and textbooks, in particular “A Practical Course of Ukrainian. Professional and Business Speech in Ukrainian as a Foreign Language” (2013), co-author of the textbook “Ukrainian for Foreigners. Level B1–B2” (L. Nazarevych, N. Havdyda, 2017), which is used by learners in many parts of the world, including Poland, Japan, the USA, Italy, Canada, Belgium and Germany.
Developer of visual materials and a series of audio podcasts for the course Ukrainian as a Foreign Language.
