3.1. Participant of the British Council Ukraine project “English for Universities“.
Activities within the project:
- confirming English proficiency at level C (Aptis test) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- completing trainings on developing methodological competence for teachers of English for professional purposes;
- updating and improving the content, forms and methods of teaching English for professional purposes in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
3.2. Author and participant of the project “University Brand Image: TNTU Positioning Strategy in the International Educational Services Market” within the Programme for Developing the Leadership Potential of Ukrainian Universities.

Course “Foreign Language for Professional Purposes (English)”
The teaching and methodological package of the course “Foreign Language for Professional Purposes (English)” was developed in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages within the British Council Ukraine project “English for Universities”, following the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). It ensures the effective development of students’ foreign language professional competence and contributes to their competitiveness on the national and international labour markets.
The aim of the course is to develop students’ communicative competence (linguistic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic) required for study and professional activities in a foreign language environment. Upon successful completion of the course, along with other professional skills, students are expected to be able to:
- communicate in a foreign language environment to perform academic and professional tasks;
- prepare public presentations on a range of academic and professional topics using appropriate verbal and non-verbal means of communication;
- find new textual, graphic, audio and video information on general academic and professional issues in foreign-language materials (both printed and electronic) using appropriate search methods;
- analyse information from foreign-language sources to obtain data needed for general academic and professional tasks;
- write in a foreign language a range of documents required for participation in international academic events, student exchange programmes, employment and professional duties.
